There are many methods for applying ink to etching plates (steel plates).

Firstly, spray the ink onto the etching plate, and then use a retractable scraper to scrape off the excess ink. At this point, the solvent remaining in the ink in the etched area evaporates and forms a gelatinous surface, and then the adhesive head descends onto the etching plate to absorb the ink.

Ink absorption and printing products: After the adhesive head absorbs a large part of the ink on the etching plate, it rises. At this time, a part of this layer of ink evaporates, and the remaining part of the ink surface is more conducive to the tight bonding between the printed object and the adhesive head. The shape of the adhesive head should be able to generate a rolling action to eliminate excess air from the etching plate and ink surface.

The most ideal situation for the combination of ink and adhesive during the production process is that all ink on the etching plate is transferred to the printed object. During the production process (ink with a thickness of nearly 10 microns or 0.01 millimeters is attached to the substrate), adhesive printing is easily affected by air, temperature, static electricity, and other factors. If the evaporation rate and dissolution rate are precisely controlled in an equilibrium state throughout the entire process from the etching plate to the transfer head and to the substrate, then it is considered a successful printing. If the evaporation is too fast, the ink will dry up before it is absorbed. If the evaporation is too slow, the ink surface has not yet formed a gel shape, making it difficult for the adhesive head and substrate to adhere.
